Every trader who has done his share of trading has been a victim to stop-loss hunting at some point of time. When we enter a trade, we place our stop loss and we wait for the price to reach the target. Which it does!! Except for the time when you were already stopped-out before the stock reached your target. The reason behind this is that everyone does the same thing at the same time with the information they have. The classic Herd Mentality in action. Price is the fastest indicator on the chart; however, the key level which the price forms is visible to everyone. So, it's our work to figure out how to make use of the information everyone has and predict their actions beforehand. It has more to do with psychology than absolute value.
In this session, we will discuss how to trade the stop-losses to stay ahead of the curve using price action. Starting from identification of zones and how not to use it, to planning the entry and exit stop-loss in an optimal manner. Where does the last line of defense fall? Exactly when does a zone fail? How can we evade the stop-loss hunting by using price action reading? We will try to answer all the related questions and more as we start discussing how compounding (one of the most powerful mathematical tools) can be used to ease our trading.
